Tanzania Medical Students Association

President David Mwaipaya

Dear viewers,

I would like to welcome you to Tanzania Medical Students’ Association (TAMSA) website. TAMSA is a medical student led organization bringing together all the medical students in Tanzania to work for better national and global health. This is by equipping its members with knowledge, skills and values to serve as responsible future physicians and health leaders.

This year, as TAMSA we have great work to continue in building up the capacity of the medical students to serve the community and to integrate effectively in pushing towards attaining the sustainable development goals. Our desire is to speed up and propel the community development through medical and community health services.

This is achieved through different activities organized by us that touch the community directly and indirectly but also by engaging in the movements organized by other organizations and associations. We have been able to provide education to different community groups on SRHR and NCDs together with screening of some diseases among other things we do.

Furthermore, this August 2017 we have the privilege to host the 66th IFMSA General Assembly, which gathers medical students and health stakeholders across the world. I therefore humbly call upon everyone to support, advise and travel with us through this year of increase as we develop to become phenomenal and to do phenomenal contribution to realization of good health and well being of our community.
