Healthcare Leadership is one of the six core building blocks of the healthcare system as stipulated by WHO, It is very essential in building a resilient healthcare system. Over the years, TAMSA has nurtured many healthcare leaders who are now leading and serving in different areas for the betterment of Tanzanian people’s wellbeing. I would like to encourage medical students who are passionate about serving the community and advancing healthcare system to join TAMSA and become leaders in the future.

Dr. Reginald A. Mnjokava

2017-2018

Dear TAMSA family, it’s wonderful to see junior doctors participating in TAMSA activities despite that we are overloaded with school but we love TAMSA and keep it moving forward. TAMSA unities building capacity through training, projects and exchange opportunities also equips us with knowledge and values to take on health roles locally and globally. Once a TAMSA member, always a TAMSA member.

Dr. David Mwaipaya

2016-2017

The better you lead, the more successful you become. Lead yourself well, lead your organization well.

Dr. Wahida Mtiro

2015-2016

My TAMSA journey began as a hobby empowered by someone who believed in me and so forth gave me the courage and drive to become a leader. And in turn I had the same faith in my members that made it possible to accomplish all that we did together for the betterment of the health sector at large. Take a leap of faith and discover your worth, combine it with your field and make it happen. “A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say we did it ourselves” Lao Tzu

Dr. Mukiza Ngemera

2013-2014

I consider TAMSA as a path to growth and unlocking a medical student’s potential. It has been a platform for networking, sharing experience and learning a wide range of must-have skills. I have so many memories of TAMSA and its initiatives as a member, President and alumni. At the top of that list would be 2012 IFMSA African Regional meeting hosted by TAMSA
